Ghaziabad Education Foundation was started on 17th April 1997 by 15 likeminded people who signed the Memorandum of Association. It took another year in processing the formalities of registration under the Societies Registration Act, obtaining Income Tax Exemptions, Opening of Bank Account etc. Effectively the Foundation started working from April 1999 with its aims and objectives.
The Aims and Objectives of the Foundation amongst other aims are:
- To help the needy, poor, and meritorious students of Ghaziabad by providing scholarships, books and stationery, dress materials etc.
- To provide all sorts of financial help to deserving students for carrying out smoothly their studies.
- To institute Trophies, Shields and other prizes for deserving and meritorious students for their encouragement.
After the sudden death of Sh. Vinod Kumar Singal on 14/12/2013 his elder son Anurag Singhal took the task and re-collected all the members, who was made as Executive Vice Chairman with Chairman as Dr R. K. Agarwal ji and other elected member for the remaining period.
In 2016-17 Elections were held and new team with Dr. R. K. Agarwal ji as Chairman again alongwith Mr. Vinay Gupta as Hony. Secretary were elected

Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. R. K. Agarwal who has been giving his precious time for the Foundation apart from his busy medical profession, was again elected as Chairman for 2016-17 for (2 years tenure which was extended during Covid 19 in 2019-20 for a term till 2022-25.

Since 1997 the Foundation so far has aided over 1,730 students with a total amount of INR over 4.4 Millions in the past Twenty Five years through its very limited resources. All collections have been made by, from and amongst its members. The Total strength of active members is 93 out of the total on roll of 219 members. Many of the helped students are now settled in their life and earning well.
Every year the Foundation is Honouring top and meritorious students with trophies which are donated by the following members, in the memory of their beloved ones by donating a lump sum amount of INR 11,000/- then and now INR 51,000/-.To Know More...
Every year the Foundation celebrates its annual day on (17th April- as Founders’ Day) in which such students are honoured at the hands of any outstanding personality from all walks of life like- Sitting and Ex. Governors of States, Sitting and Ex Members of Parliament, Sitting and Ex. MLAs/ MLCs, Sitting and ex. Ministers of Central and State Governments, Ex- Chiefs of Forces, Sitting Officers of Armed Forces, Sitting and Ex. Vice Chancellors of Universities, Sports persons/ Coaches, Principals of Eminent Colleges, Celebrities, Higher Officers of Taxation Departments, Sitting and Ex. Judges of High Courts & Supreme Court, Learned Law Officers of India and many more. The list can be obtained from the office of the Foundation for further authenticity.
Any person, subject to the approval of the Board and House, can apply for the membership by paying INR 1,500/- as admission fees and annually contributes minimum of INR 1,500/- every year. Such member can donate higher amount in any financial year as per his wish. There are other types of memberships available to accommodate the need and budget. Any person willing to become PATRON shall have to donate INR 100,000.00 one time.
